"My paintings are done in acrylics, on hardboard, I also do some 3 dimensional work with whatever I find lying around, and have also done some reasonable sized murals. I have been greatly influenced by underground comics and the alternative art scene, and whereas once I was always looking to make my work more "realistic", I now find it becoming more and more childlike. I have also done underground comics, and as I went, I found they degenerated from careful, detailed strips, to the type of work worthy of any five year old! And funnily enough, these became my favourites. I'm not at all sure how this came about, or what it means, if it means anything at all. Maybe it just means I cant paint like an adult. And this would be a shame, as it seems I cant paint like a child, or for children, either, because when kids see my work, they sort of start cringing and clutching at their mothers leg. I've had parents ask me to do a picture for their kids, and try as I might, the characters, who were supposed to look all harmless and friendly, end up looking somehow tormented and slightly dangerous. I try to do a serious peice of art, and I end up with something closely resembling the work of a deranged and demented child who will probably grow up to become a serial killer. I tried to work this all out for a while, but I have long since given up. I tried to turn my paintings back toward "real art", but I keep winding up in this dark, off kilter netherworld full of manic cartoons. I'm real happy with the way things turned out."

Lynn died of motor neurone disease.
