I created this collage in response to a call from Dale Copeland for the theme "Funeral Notice".
It's made from images of actual correspondence between our grandmother and her brother, who was "blown to bits" in the trenches in WW1.
The family's first notice from the government that he had died was the pencil scribbles on the envelope of a letter she had written to him that was returned: missing, believed killed.
