The cockatrice - a child's view
Assemblage of found objects.
24 x 24 x 9 cm
Dale Copeland
Found in the drawer of too-good-to-throw-away, a small painting of an unknown animal.
By our daughter, age at the time? Unknown, forgotten. But I love it.
I asked her what the animal was - "A cockatrice isn’t a real animal, it’s a mythical beast, sort of part rooster, part dragon I think."
That's good enough for me.
Added the raggedy background, 3 tulips and the cap from a wine bottle. Titled 'HaHa'. Nice.
