Reincarnation of the Lecher
assemblage of found objects
Dale Copeland
The joy of finding objects which go perfectly together to tell their story.
I was given a lichen-covered garden ornament which the owner loathed.
It was a cherubic figure riding on a snail. An ugly and faceless snail.
I tried all the heads and faces which were lurking in my studio, and found the perfect one.
A smirking and smug-looking man face on an old puppet.
A smug and lecherous-looking smart-ass.
deserving an after-life as the face of a slug or a snail.
Dale's studio can be found at Puniho,
Surf Highway, Coastal Taranaki, Netw Zealand
