JENNY BIELAWSKI
Taranaki is where I have lived for most of my life.
Trained and become a registered nurse in Hawera, and later trained in Wellington to become a registered midwife and practiced
in Hawera Maternity hospital for many years.
Moved to Tarata ten years ago and after a year or so I did a Visual Arts Degree at WITT in New Plymouth.
My husband and I have six children, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, that obviously puts us into the older age group,
I think I may be sixty-eight this year.
THE ART:
I play around with fabric and fibre to form works of art that project some degree of intrigue and hopefully a challenge for the viewer.
Printmaking fascinates me, I love etching and making mono prints and also continue to work with paint; water colour, house paint
anything that will help me make an interesting mark onto paper, fabric or any other surface.
